The westernmost province of Cuba, where the best quality tobacco in the world is grown. The Vilnales Valley in Cuba has been declared a world natural heritage monument by UNESCO. The valley is a rare natural phenomenon that was formed over hundreds of millions of years by the gradual dissolution and washing away of limestone rocks from underground waters. In the valley rise hills covered with dense noises, reminiscent of giant green haystacks. This is where the cork palm is found - a species that, according to scientists, has existed for 250 million years. Nearby are long underground galleries and halls full of stalactites and stalagmites, rivers and lakes.
