The Church of Santa Trinita dei Monti is located in Piazza di Spagna, at the top of the Spanish Rocks in Rome. The monumental rock of 138 rocks connects the church with the Spanish embassy. It was built to order by Stefan Geffier. A colorful market can be found there. The church is part of the French heritage. It was built in 1502 by King Louis XII for the French Catholics who lived in Rome. Near it was a monastery owned by Charles VIII. An obelisk stands in front of the church, placed at the request of Pope Pius VII.
