The Mavara Fountain is located in the southern part of Piazza Navona in Rome. It was built in 1575 by Giacomo della Porta. Then he designed it with a dolphin and four newts. Bazenot is built of pink marble. In 1653, Giovanni Bernini painted the figure of an African fighting a dolphin. The original statues were moved to the Borghese Gallery during one of the restorations and replaced by a copy.
