Тројан, Бугарија
The Trojan Monastery "Assumption of the Virgin" was founded no later than the end of the 16th century. The monastery, which is the third most important in Bulgaria, is located on the river Cherni Osam near the village of Orashek, 10 km from Troyan. The legend speaks of three monks from Athos who brought the saint to the monastery, a miraculous icon of the Mother of God Troeruchitsa, a copy of the old miraculous icon in the Hilendar monastery. One of the attractions in the complex is the room that was used many times as a hiding place by the Apostle of the Sloboda - Vasil Levski.
