Topes de Collantes is a natural park reserve in central Cuba, which is located at 800 m above sea level in the Escambari mountains.
The nature in this uncategorized reserve is wonderful and diverse. Within its borders there are mountain hills, rivers, natural pools with pure mountain water, caves, canyons, etc. The flora is represented by 40 species of orchids, over 100 species of ferns, jasmine, begonias, magnolias and 40 species of coffee, which grow under the shade of giant pine and eucalyptus trees.
One of the most popular hikes down the reservoir, which is about 3 km long, included a walk through the coffee plantations, the traditional houses of the agricultural producers and stopped by the Kaburni River, which then has a number of lakes.
In Topes de Colentes, there is the National Center for Health Rehabilitation, in which, among the methods of traditional meditation and therapeutic physical exercises, therapy and prevention of the population is applied.
