Tehuacán is the second largest city in the state of Puebla, Mexico. It was founded in the 15th century and is known for hosting a number of festivals. One of the most famous festivals in the last 15 years is the International Tehuacan Festival 1660, which celebrates the city's artistic and cultural heritage. Tehuacán is one of the oldest villages in Mexico. Another interesting thing about Teukan is that the oldest fossils of crops typical of the area - cotton, corn, pumpkin and avocado - were found there. The town and its surroundings are one of the most important producers of eggs. It is inhabited by about 275 thousand inhabitants.
