Танжер, Мароко
The city of Tangier is located in the northernmost part of Morocco, in the immediate vicinity of the Strait of Gibraltar. It is inhabited by about 700,000 inhabitants.
Known since antiquity as the Pillars of Hercules, the city had an important geographical position. It appears as an ancient Phoenician village, which over the years has been influenced by different civilizations and cultures. Today, the city is characterized by a rapid pace of development and modernization. Visitors to the city can see a number of historical and cultural landmarks, such as "Dar el Makhzen" (residence of the Sultans of Morocco), the Museum of Moroccan Art, the cultural center of the American Legation, the Kasbah, the Cave of Hercules and others.
