Santa Maria di Leuca or just Leuca is an attractive resort located near the southernmost point of Apulia - Cape Santa Maria, which separates the Adriatic from the Ionian Sea. Therefore, the town is mostly known for the lighthouse, which has guided sailors to this key place since 1866. The legend of the sanctuary of Finibus Terra, known as the "sanctuary at the end of the world", is interesting. It is interesting that on the other side of the Old World - in the northwestern part of Britain - there is a sanctuary with the same name. As the southernmost point of the Salento peninsula, Santa Maria di Leuca has been attracting wealthy Italian tourists with its beautiful beaches since the beginning of the 20th century.
