In the central part of the city of Graz rises the Schlossberg ridge at 500 meters above sea level. On it is the fortress of the same name, of which today almost nothing is left, except for the clock tower, which is a symbol of the city. The fortress was built in the Middle Ages, and "Schlossberg" literally means "fortress-hill". On the remains and ruins of the fortress today there is a stage where various performances and celebrations are held.
