Sithonia is the middle of the three arms of the Halkidiki Peninsula. The most famous resort is Neos Marmaras. The beaches are covered with golden sand and this is one of the reasons for the development of tourism. The peninsula is surrounded by the Gulf of Toroni to the east and the Gulf of Singit to the west. Sithonia has many luxurious and pleasant hotels, good road infrastructure and other attractions, which are the reasons why it is one of the most visited places in the summer season of Greece.
