Perugia is a city in central Italy, nestled between the hills of the Apennines. Many architectural monuments can be seen in the historical center of the city, which attract tourists from all over the world. Manuscripts from the 10th century are kept in the Cathedral of San Lorenzo. The National Gallery offers unique works by Pietro Perugino, teacher of Raphael, Piero de la Francesca and Agustino di Duccio.
Perugia is known for its festivals. The most popular of them is the Chocolate Festival. Every October, numerous connoisseurs of sweet temptations gather in the town.
