Оахака

Оахака, Мексико

Oaxaca is a region in Mexico. It is known for the tower and the locals who still inhabit part of the area. The Mishteks remained the most and the most numerous among the Zapotecs. The cultures of these people have survived longer than others in Mexico due to the isolated terrain of the area. Most live in the Central Valleys region, which is also an important area for tourism, attracting people to archaeological sites such as Monte Alban and Mila. Oaxaca is also known for its architecture. Most of the buildings built in the 16th century have been converted into restaurants, museums and hotels. The area was accepted into UNESCO as a cultural heritage in 2010.
