Нораванк

Ерменија

Noravank is a monastery complex located in a narrow gorge of the Arpa River in the southern part of Armenia. Translated from Armenian, its name means "new monastery" and it was founded at the beginning of the 13th century. It is included in the UNESCO list of world and cultural and natural heritage.

The most famous is the two-story church "St. Bogoroditsa", which has a neo-ic architectural feat - the steps for the second floor are external and are located on the facade in front of the main entrance.

The complex also includes the churches "St. Garabed", "Introduction to the Virgin" and the chapel "St. Gregory".
