Шпанија
Национален парк Гарахонај се наоѓа на територијата на остров Ла Гомера, кој е дел од Канарските острови во Шпанија. Островот е познат по ретките суптропски шуми и со над 450 видови на растенија и е дел од светското наследство на УНЕСКО. Името на паркот произлегува од една легенда, која е распространета на островот, за љубовта помеѓу принцеза Гара од остров Ла Гомера и принцот Хонај од остров Тенерифе.
La Gomera is a small island with untouched flora. In the interior of the island is the area of Bosco del Cedro with a century-old forest of laurel and cedar trees, which, together with the Garajonay National Park, fall under the protection of UNESCO.
The wealth of Garakhonay lies in the unique laurel forest, which is abundantly flooded by numerous streams and springs. Among the rare representatives of the plant species are Canary willow, Canary gel and cedar trees. Some of the rarest subtropical noises are found here.
