Населба ''Мала Франција''

Стразбур, Франција

At the point where the river Ill divides into five branches, there is the most picturesque settlement in Strasbourg. In the 16th century, millers and tanners settled here, because their industry required large amounts of water. Gradually, the settlement expanded and acquired the characteristic architectural appearance of the city. The wood carvings and bells are typical of the Strasbourg workshops, which to this day give the region a unique atmosphere and spirit. At the heart of "Mala Francia" are covered bridges and defensive towers, erected as a protective barrier towards the port of the city.
