The "Mandraliska" museum has a small but exceptional collection of coins, Greek and Roman artifacts, ancient ceramics and works of art. The most famous exhibitor is an exceptional painting - "Portrait of an Unknown Mariner" by the most outstanding Renaissance painter of Sicily, Antonello da Messina. Primarily used as the entrance door to a pharmacy, this painting gained fame when Baron Enrico di Mandralisca bought it from there. Later it was handed over to the museum, which today bears its name thanks to her charity.
