The "Marienbrücke" bridge is built at a height of more than 90 m, on the Polat Gorge, from which an incredible view of the Neuschwanstein Castle opens. He was named after Queen Maria of Prussia, the mother of King Ludwig II. The construction of the bridge began in 1845 by the queen's husband, who ordered a wooden bridge and was completed by her son. It was not very stable and had to be renewed only every few years. Today it is very popular among tourists from all over the world, as a place for amazing photos of the car and its surroundings. Nearly 6,000 tourists visit the castle daily, and it is believed that most of them cross the bridge to enjoy the breathtaking view.
