Монтеросо ал Маре

Чинкуе Тере, Италија

Monterosso al Mare is a town in Liguria, northwestern Italy. It is one of the five villages, part of the Cinque Terre National Park. It is located on the eastern coast of the Ligurian Sea. Its population is 1400 inhabitants. The city is divided into old and new parts. Monterosso is known for its lemon trees, butter, olives and white wine. For a short time, in 1948, the city was excluded from the UNESCO sites because it was considered too big to be part of its historical heritage. Monterosso has a well maintained coastline, with a wide sandy strip. This is the only beach in Cinque Terre.
