Mont Saint-Michel is a small rocky island in the Normandy region of North-west France. The people who live there are constantly 43. The reason is the small size of the island and the lack of infrastructure. The only building there is an abbey dedicated to Archangel Michael. It gave the island its name. Around the castle there are small buildings where monks and members of the municipality live.
Mont Saint Michel is one of the most visited tourist destinations in France. Annually, around 3 million people take amazing pictures in front of the beautiful church. It is reached through a narrow path surrounded by water.
