Мелник

Мелник, Бугарија

Melnik is the smallest town in Bulgaria, located in the southern part of the Pirin Mountains, only 30 km from the Greek border. The town is recognizable by its mill wine, it offers a visit to many buildings from the Renaissance and the Middle Ages, such as Pasha's house, Kordopul's house, the residence of despot Alexius Slav, etc. Surrounded by hills, between the limestone pyramids, Melnik is undoubtedly a wonderful place to relax, where you can also learn more about wine production in some of the wineries, as well as get acquainted with the thousand-year-old winemaking traditions.
