Limerick is the fourth largest city in the country, after the capital city of Dublin, Cork and Galway. It is located in Southern Ireland and is the center of the county of the same name Limerick in the province of Munster. It is located at the confluence of the Shannon River with the Atlantic Ocean. It was founded in the 9th century as a Danish village. A major sector in the economy is the computer company DELL. The population together with the suburbs reaches up to 100,000 inhabitants.
