Largo is the main square of Sofia - an architectural ensemble of three buildings in the style of socialist realism, built in the 1950s as a new representational center of the capital city. Today, the Largoto is one of the most famous architectural examples of the period in Southeast Europe and one of the symbols of Sofia. The ensemble includes the former Party House, which is currently used by the Parliament, and two symmetrical buildings, which today house the Center for the Arts, the Government, the Presidency and the Balkan Hotel.
