Катедралата во Берн

Берн, Швејцарија

The Bern Cathedral (German: Berner Münster) is a Protestant church located in the southern part of Old Bern and is considered the most important Gothic church in Switzerland. From an architectural point of view, the cathedral is a three-nave basilica, the altar has an apse in the form of a half (only on the sides) of an octagon. The height of the bell tower is 100.6 meters, which makes the cathedral the tallest church in the country. The main bell weighs about 10 tons and has a diameter of 247 cm. In 1983, the cathedral, together with all the buildings in Old Bern, was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
