
Kazanlak is located in the Rose Valley. The city is home to the oldest and best-preserved Thracian tomb in Bulgaria, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Near the city is the ancient village of Sevtopolis, as well as the valley of the Thracian kings. Kazanlak is known for its centuries-old traditions in the production of rose oil and other essential oils. A rose festival is also held in the month of May. The only rose museum is located in Kazanlak.
