The settlement of Icod de los Vinos is located in the northwestern part of the island of Tenerife and has an area of 90 km2. Ikod is home to the millennial dragon tree called in Spanish - Draco Milenario. The area around the tree and the tree itself, which is about 800 years old, was declared a national monument in 1917. The local bike from Ikod offers one of the best views of Mount Teide.
The town's economy is based on viticulture and fishing, and the historical and artistic heritage of the old town is one of the most popular places for visitors.
