
"Konopište" is a castle located in the Czech Republic, 50 km. southeast of Prague. It became known for being the residence of Franz Ferdinand, heir to the throne of the Austrian crown, who was killed in Sarajevo, giving rise to the First World War. Konopište is today one of the most visited Czech castles in the vicinity of Prague, built in the 14th century, which houses an incredible collection of hunting trophies, original furniture, paintings and tapestries from the heritage of the D'Este family.
