Дворецот „Херенкимзее“

Германија

The "Herenkimsee" palace, located on the island of the same name, was commissioned by the Bavarian king Ludwig II to reconstruct the existing monastery. The building was designed on the example of the Palace of Versailles by the architect Georg von Dolmann. Construction began in May 1878 under the direction of the Austrian architect Julius Hoffmann. Among the most impressive parts of the palace are the royal staircase, the royal bedroom and the huge hall of mirrors. Special attention was also paid to the gardens, which were also supposed to be an exact copy of those of Versailles and a symbol of royal power and majesty.
