Грац, Австрија

Graz is the largest city in Austria and the capital of the province of Styria with a population of around 300,000. It is located in the southeastern part of the country, in the picturesque surroundings on the banks of the Mur River, and the city and its surroundings are rich in a variety of plant species.

The old part of Graz is one of the most preserved city centers in Europe and is included in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List.

The main parish church is in Gothic style, the Styrian Parliament building and the Art History Museum are just some of the iconic buildings. Other attractions of the city are the medieval castle and the Clock Tower - a symbol of the city, which are located at the top of the Schlossberg. The top can be reached by an old railway. The "Egenberg" castle deserves attention - a typical example of the rich baroque architecture.

Today Graz is a wonderful modern city that combines the old atmosphere of the past and the spirit of the academic community. Graz is a well-known center with 6 universities and 44,000 students.
