Ouzoud is a waterfall in the province of Azilal, located 150 km northeast of Marrakech, Morocco. In Berber, the name Uzud means "the act of grinding grain". The name may come from the mills that are common in the region. At the top of the waterfall there are a dozen old small mills that are still functioning. There is also a narrow and challenging path that leads to the town of Beni Mellal. The waterfall is the most visited attraction in the region.
In the surroundings you can see picturesque valleys, mills, orchards and the coast of the river El Abid. Many local and national associations make projects for the protection and preservation of natural heritage.
