Базиликата "Св. Антонио"

Падуа, Италија

The basilica was built in honor of Saint Antonio. Its construction began in 1231. It has three naves, in the shape of a Latin cross. It is difficult to determine the style of the church, because it is a combination of Gothic, Eastern and Arabic. Statues of Donatello can be seen in it. Its interior is richly decorated, thanks to the generosity of the faithful who gather here for centuries to pray to the saint. The official day to celebrate Saint Antonio is June 13, but the church is visited by pilgrims and tourists throughout the year.
