Анкара е главниот трговски и ундустриски центар на Турција. Не е толку посетуван град, колку Истанбул, но е меѓу главните туристички дестинации во државата.
Анкара е главниот град на Турција и вториот по големина град во државата. Се наоѓа во централниот дел на државата, во Андолското плато.
Низ градот минуваат реките Анкара и Чубук. Населението на градот брои над 4.3 милиони жители.
Most sights in the city are of historical and cultural character. Many monuments from the Roman period can be discovered. Among them are the Roman Baths, the Temple of Augustus and Rome, the Column of Julian, the remains of the old Citadel and others. Without a doubt, one of the most prominent buildings is the Kemal Atatürk Mausoleum. Many castles can be visited in the city, the largest of which is Coxatepe. The variety of museums is also great. Of particular interest are the Museum of Civilizations from Anatolia and the Monographic Museum.
An interesting landmark is the Atakule Tower - the tallest structure in the city.
