Акрополот во Бергама

Бергама, Турција

Akorpolot in Bergama was one of the most important at that time in the ancient world. Herodotus and Homer studied and wrote about the city's library, which was once the second largest in the world with over 200,000 books. The last ruler of Pergamon left the library to the Roman Empire, and Mark Antony gave the treasures to Cleopatra. It is believed that the skull of Alexander the Great was found during the excavations of Pergamon.
