The Isa Bey Mosque, located in the modern city of Selcuk, is one of the oldest mosques in Turkey, dating back to 1375. The fragments of the Temple of Artemis displayed in the Isa Bey Mosque are very recent, attracting pilgrims from all over the ancient world and was one of his Seven Wonders. This temple was once four times larger than the Parthenon in Athens. Selcuk is a city built under the Byzantine fortress that has seen many battles. The Malliot Museum of Ephesus in Selçuk has one of the best collections of Roman and Greek remains found anywhere in Turkey. There are also two white statues of Artemis in the city.
