Serengeti National Park is one of the most famous wildlife reserves in the world, unmatched for its natural beauty and scientific significance, covering an area of about 30,000 square kilometers. It has managed to preserve the pristine nature of its landscape. The park's biodiversity includes 70 large mammal species and around 500 bird species. It is home to the "Big Five": lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros. Serengeti is also known for its large lion population and is one of the best places to observe prides in their natural habitat. Its name comes from the Maasai language and means "endless plains." Serengeti is the largest park in Tanzania, with its territory extending into southwestern Kenya.
