Rwenzori Mountains

The Rwenzori Mountains, also known as the "Mountains of the Moon," are located on the border between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. With a height reaching 5,109 meters (Mount Margherita), they are the third highest mountain range in Africa. The area is famous for its glaciers, alpine landscapes, rare plant species, and rich biodiversity, much of which is protected within the Rwenzori Mountains National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
