This Venetian-style square is controlled over Loggia Palace, built from the end of 15th century till 16th century with contributions from Palladio and Sansovino.
Piazza della Loggia has a shape of rectangular square enclosed by a series of buildings from the Venetian period.
On the east side are classic porches with the Clock Tower surmounted by two automatons who strike the hours. On the south side stand Monti di Pietà (pawnshops) united by an elegant loggia, with several gravestones dating from the Roman Age added in the wall.
