Entebbe

Entebbe is a town in central Uganda, located on the shores of Lake Victoria, about 37 km southwest of the capital, Kampala. It is known for Entebbe International Airport – the country’s main air gateway – as well as its beautiful Botanical Gardens and proximity to the lake’s islands. The town also holds historical significance, including being the site of the famous 1976 hostage rescue operation.
