
Abisko National Park is located in the far northern part of SwedenIt rests near the border of Norway.
The Abiskodalen valley, blanketed with flowering alpine fields during the summer and winter dreamlands during the rest of the year, is nestled in between mountains that create a beautiful landscapes.
In Abisko, the longest dark day occurs in late December around the 23rd. During these 24 hours it is significantly much darker, which creates better chances for seeing and experiencing the aurora borealis, known as the “northern lights.” That is why this one of the best locations to observe the northern lights.
